Wanneroo City
5 Hamersley Rovers 0
The 5-0 result perhaps
flattered the home team with much of the play in the centre
of the park, that said the Hamersley goalkeeper had a superb
game and showed plenty of bravery on several occasions
coming off his line.
2-0 up at half time with goals
against the wind from Liam Driscoll and Mateen Alexander,
Wanneroo made much use of the wind to cruise to victory
with another goal from Liam, one from Michael Kirby
and a well taken penalty by Ben Stone.
Much credit goes to the defence
who looked solid throughout as did the team as a whole.
All in all a good result for the
first game of the season.
